Now Create Dummy HTML Page
So you can upload your pdf to SBI

Why do you need to now create dummy HTML page?

You will need to create a simple "dummy" html file and upload it in order to have SBI prompt you to upload the pdf.

You will build this page, but do not have to analyze it ... it's a holding page only that you will upload via "Upload Your Own HTML" section of SiteCentral ... it's only purpose is to get the pdf file uploaded to your SBI site.

Open Notepad, or other plain text editor, do not use a rich text editor like Word or WordPad; a plain text editor is needed so extraneous code isn't inserted causing problems.

You can find Notepad under Programs/Accessories on most PC’s.

How to find Notepad on your PC.

Double click on the file to open it.

Then copy and paste the following by highlighting everything in the box, then right click in the dark area and select copy ... or you can highlight everything then hit CTRL and the C keys at the same time.

To paste, just put your mouse in the notepad file and right click, select Paste; or hit the CTRL and V keys at the same time.

This is what the notepad file looks like after you copied the HTML into it.

Now you need to change the nameofpdffile in the above code to reflect the real name of your pdf file.

Make absolutely sure you use the exact name of your pdf file, and remember, no capitals, no spaces, but do keep the .pdf extension in the code!

Save and close the file with an .html extension

Select "FILES" then "Save As" in Notepad:

You will then see this screen come up:

Next, browse to the support-files folder you created under "My Documents" so the Notepad file will be saved to the right location when the time comes.

Make sure your newly created "support-files" folder is appearing in the file location box at the top:

Browse to be sure you save to the right folder.

Then change the "Text Documents (*.txt)" option to the "All Files" option.

Name your dummy html page and remember to include .html at the end of the file name ... in my example above, this means I would type in:

uploadpdf.html

name your notepad file

Now click the "Save" button and your dummy HTML page is saved for posterity and ready to upload!
